Yes, if you purchase the number from us with full payment, the number is yours and you can port away immediately or at a future date with no additional charges. If you decide to keep the number with us, you may pay some rental and usage charges, but you will not be subject to any minimum Contract Term.
If you buy using our rent/purchase option the number will belong to you at the end of your Term, either 12 or 24 months – whichever you choose. You can also pay the balance off at any time during the Term.

If you rent a number, it does not become yours and you cannot port it away to another provider, you simply pay the rental for as long as you wish to use the number and you can cancel at any time. You can also buy the number at any time whilst renting, for the amount agreed when you start renting, less the connection charge you have paid. So for example, if a number costs £499 and you rent it, you will probably pay a connection charge of £99. If you later choose to buy the number, the £99 connection you have paid is deducted from the £499 number cost, meaning you would pay £400 for the number.
Rent/Purchasing works in the same way as hire/purchase does for a car, but without any interest charges or other hidden charges. Once you have paid the connection charge and the monthly instalments (either 12 or 24), then the number is yours – it’s paid for! This saves you paying for the whole number in one go. Once your instalments have been paid then your monthly charge will drop down to £8 if you choose to keep your number with us or you can at that point transfer the number away to another provider.

Number porting is a standard process between telephone service providers in the UK, managed by BT Ipex. When you request to port the number you have purchased from us to another network, we provide you with a standard set of porting details which to simply give to your new provider. This gives them everything they need to move the number to their network.
The process usually takes 10 working days end to end and any services you have on the number will work until the moment the number is moved (ported) to your new chosen network and their their services will take over.
Please note that the porting address may well differ from YOUR address – this is prefectly normal as these details are simply to port the number across to your new provider and are linked to the number and not you or your business until your new provider (the gaining operator) has the number on their platform.
